History 2002 - 10 Twenty Two Casting was established on October 22nd 2002 by 4 friends who had been working in the industry for a few years and wanted to provide a fresh approach to the supply of film & TV extras. From humble beginnings, working from home we worked on our first job supplying artistes for a TV commercial for a finance company. 2003 - We worked on our first big budget film, Digital Jesus (Digital Reaper as it is now known) and Scott joined us in the office. In September 2003 we started supplying background for Coronation Street and are now a regular supplier of background artistes. 2004 - During the summer we moved to a bigger office and worked on Granada's most expensive drama documentary Titanic - Birth of a Legend and various other shows such as Casanova and Big Dippers for Red Productions. 2005 - Summer time and Scott moved on to work in front of the audience and we were joined by John, Adam, Nick & Katie. Highlights of 2005 were Beyond Friendship which was the summers biggest film in Liverpool, Bradford Riots (Karim's Story) which will be one of Channel4's flagship programmes this Spring and the Christmas seasons PC World's commercials. 2006 - Started with the Liverpool shoot of Columbia Picture's Across the Universe, one of the biggest films to be filmed in Liverpool. March saw us move to a new office in a local business centre. May started off with supplying all the background for a pilot called The Outsiders which will be a spy drama for Granada if commissioned. June and we become the North West's exclusive suppliers for the Liverpool shoot of the BBC's Ruby in the Smoke staring Billy Piper and will headline on Boxing Day night on BBC One. During the Summer we have also provided extras for Life On Mars Season 2, Shameless Season 4, Good House Keeping Guide, The Mark of Kane, Gold Plated, The Allotment, Kombat Opera and Mobile. 2007 - A slow start to the year with Cold Blood 3, Blue Murder, The Good Samaritan & True Dare Kiss filming in Manchester, TV Adverts from Ibuyuko, Engage, Irn Bru, British Heart Foundation and Foxy Bingo. Liverpool saw the return of Casualty 1907 and October proved busy with a new BBC period drama, The Unusual Miss Nightingale which follows the life and times of one of Britain's most famous nurses, which will be seen on our TV screens Easter Monday 2008. |
